well we left florence this morning and headed down to rome! the train ride was fast, we must have gotten on some kind of fancy express train because it only took about 90 minutes. we went straight to our hotel, which is only about 10 minutes from the station.
our room is pretty nice..hotel papa germano is a simple place, haha. i stayed here before when i traveled after graduation with my friends. it's not quite as nice as i remember, but it will do! after we unpacked a bit we walked down a main street and stumbled upon some ruins and we could see the colosseum in the distance! we wandered around for a bit, rested up some in the hotel...nick let me take an hour nap! then we went to this wicked cute place for dinner called Babbo's. we got bruschetta and i got pizza with pears and walnuts, which was delicious and nick got some incredicle spaghetti ragu.
we don't have wi-fi in our room anymore so we probably won't be uploading any more pictures since we're just using the computers in the lobby, so you'll have to use your imagination on just how beautiful this city is!
